Why is there so much sodium?

Our chicken broths range from 430mg-560mg of sodium per serving (1/2 jar) and our beef broths range from 480mg-520mg of sodium per serving (1/2 jar).

We exclusively use Redmond Real Salt for all of our broths - it's mined from ancient salt flats in Utah and contains dozens of trace minerals. Here at FOND, we're pro high-quality salt, and believe that most people don't get enough of the high-quality salt that their bodies need/crave. Salt is vital for quite a few bodily processes, and it helps us thrive.

We know that everyone has different needs and preferences when it comes to sodium, which is why we're conscious of the amount (and the type!) that we use in our products.

But we also know that high-quality salt is essential for our overall health, which is one of the reasons we exclusively use Redmond Real Salt in our bone broths.
